One of the Longest-lived Prosecco Producers
Viticulture is a passion that has been handed down for four generations in our family. It all began in 1870, when Antonio Facchin acquired the first few hectares of land on the left bank of the River Piave and planted a vineyard of “Raboso Piave” grapes. Over time, other lands have been added to that first vineyard, both in the Piave area and on the Prosecco hills, up to the current 70 hectares of total vineyards of different varieties, particularly Glera.
Our family history spanning three centuries makes us one of the longest-lived wineries in the Prosecco area. In this long period, our respect for traditions and the territory has not changed, and we have managed our business personally and with competent choices. Today, the fourth generation of our family is leading the company: Angelo and Giuseppe, brothers and both oenologists, respectively follow the cellar and the vineyards; Giusi, the sister, takes care of marketing instead. All three together, they guarantee that every phase of the production process is followed with professionalism and attention to detail.
“The love for our territory and the respect for the earth’s cycle have been handed down from our great-grandfather through our grandfather Angelo and then our father Antonio. These peasant culture teachings translate into knowledge, study, research, hard work as well as celebration. We say celebration because we remember well when our customers used to arrive and, as children, we would not know when they would have left with the boot full of our wine. Today as back then, our customers always end up becoming our friends and they are welcomed into our family even before into our business”.
